Reg Watkiss studied at the Royal Academy School before moving to Cornwall in 1959. He lived with his wife and fellow artist Gill, at various locations in Cornwall. As well as painting, Reg taught art at various schools in West Cornwall, and was a keen photographer and photo-archivist, having recently published his third book of historical old photographs of Cornwall.
Reg Watkiss died on 13th April 2010 and will be remembered as an excellent artist, photographer and writer. He played a major role in the arts scene of West Cornwall for just over half a century.
